Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Tender Manager with strong expertise in electrical engineering and tender management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire tender process, including reading and interpreting project specifications, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and ensuring alignment with contract requirements. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in HT LV, ELV, and knowledge in ACMV/Fire systems, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and thoroughly understand project specifications and contract requirements.
  • Study and interpret technical drawings and design documents, ensuring clear understanding of all technical aspects.
  • Prepare and manage the complete tender process from initial inquiry to submission.
  • Develop a comprehensive list of the scope of works, major equipment, and materials required for the project.
  • Accurately prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for tender submissions, including major equipment and material requirements.
  • Conduct cost estimations for all project components and ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain pricing for tender preparation.
  • Review tender documents to ensure compliance with the technical specifications, contract requirements, and industry standards.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the tender documents.
  • Ensure that all tender submissions meet the requirements of the client and are completed within the specified deadlines.
  • Work closely with the project teams to coordinate tender-related activities.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of the tender.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the tender process.
  • Leverage knowledge in HT LV, ELV systems, and experience with ACMV/Fire systems for effective tender management.
  • Provide technical input and recommendations based on electrical engineering experience and project requirements.
  • Lead and guide the tender team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage the tender process in a timely manner, meeting submission deadlines even under tight schedules.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tender management with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in HT LV, ELV systems, and knowledge in ACMV/Fire systems.
  • Strong technical interpretation skills for reading and understanding drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
