Position Type: Part-Time (2-3 sessions per week)
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking an experienced part-time English tutor to provide personalized language instruction to one of our Executives based in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker with some fluency in Mandarin Chinese, as the Executive requires assistance in refining their English language skills for professional and social contexts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct 2-3 personalized English tutoring sessions per week, each lasting approximately 1-2 hours, or more depending on needs.
  • Focus on improving the Executive's fluency, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, with an emphasis on business English and conversational skills.
  • Tailor lessons to meet the Executive's specific needs, including interpretation and comprehension of English documentation, presentations, conducting meetings and having social interactions in English.
  • Provide constructive feedback and track progress over time.
  • Maintain a professional and flexible approach to accommodate the Executive's schedule.

Requirements

  • Native English speaker with a Western education background is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is preferred to effectively communicate with the Executive and explain concepts when necessary.
  • Proven experience in teaching English as a second language, preferably to professionals or executives is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business English and cultural nuances in professional settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Based in Singapore and does not require visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with high-level professionals or executives.
  • Familiarity with Singapore's multicultural environment.
