To oversee and provide management and social work lead to the Community Integration Support Services (CISS) in its services to Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients. The CISS comprises the Community Services (CS), Itinerant Support Services (ISS) and the Hearing Care Centre (HCC).
Roles and Responsibilities:
A. Operational Duties
- To plan and conduct outreach to stakeholders, including schools to promote ISS and hearing loss awareness.
- To conduct review of SOP for CS, ISS and HCC.
- To work with CISS team on audit processes with funders and auditors.
- To keep and maintain proper records and documentation for the programme.
- To be a certified Data Protection Officer.
- To be responsible for the overall coordination of all data management and reporting, including but not restricted to output management, pupils enrolment report to MOE, muster submission and annual EPES submission to SG Enable.
- To be responsible for Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as set by funders.
- To conduct reviews of assessment tools and make necessary recommendations.
- To ensure services and programmes are delivered in a professional and ethical manner and to recommend changes to meet current needs.
- To perform any other operational functions as required by the CS, ISS and HCC sections, such as ongoing projects.
- To oversee and manage the budget of the three sections (CS, ISS and HCC).
- To oversee and manage the organisation of the events for outreach and awareness of the three sections.
- To provide supervision and guidance to the team in CISS.
- To ensure professional competency by keeping current with the latest skills and training courses for the team.
- To craft the agenda and reports for the Community Services Committee for service performance and meeting performance metrics.
B. Social Work-Related Duties
- To provide information and referral.
- To manage, develop and implement clients’/families’ care/counselling plan.
- To conduct school and home visits.
- To work with and provide supervision, including clinical supervision, to multi-disciplinary team members.
- To facilitate and participate in case conferencing.
- To provide reports and statistics according to funding and audit requirements.
- To plan and conduct workshops, programmes and activities. To develop and maintain collaborations with community partners and stakeholders including SSAs and hospitals.
C. Professional Skills Development
- To work with CS, ISS and HCC team members to ensure professional competency by keeping current with latest skills and training courses, subject to approval by the immediate supervisor.
Candidate Requirements Achievements/Characteristics:
- Have a recognized Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
- Be a Registered Social Worker (RSW) accredited by the Social Work Accreditation and Advisory Board (SWAAB)
- Have an extensive experience in social work with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Prior experience in providing case and clinical supervision to social/case workers
- Proficient in managing grant-funded projects and ensuring compliance with funding requirements
- Proficient in MS office and Google suites applications
- Prior working experience with the Deaf community and being proficient in sign language would give you an advantage in landing in this meaningful position.
