Job Description

SepPure Technologies is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Scientist to join our Product Team in Singapore. The main responsibility of this role is to develop and commercialise hollow fibre and flatsheet membranes for organic solvent applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of lab scale prototypes to subsequent commercialisation of membrane technology.
  • Designs, develops, conducts and/or reviews experiments at laboratory to deliver on ideation, innovation and business continuity initiatives by evaluating materials, products, and processes.
  • Conducts scale-up pilot trials, acquiring proficiency in the safe and efficient operation of equipment, while ensuring all processes meet safety and performance standards if needed.
  • Performance characterisation tests related to membrane processes.
  • Writes detailed and accurate reports for analyses, experiments, or projects.  
  • Gathers and organizes information under tight timelines to support senior management's decision-making.
  • Participates in team projects, cross-functional committees, or company-wide initiatives to share information, represent the department/division perspective or assist with product development, process modification, package development and marketing.
  • Supports lab administration, including managing material inventories, overseeing equipment maintenance, coordinating with suppliers, and handling order management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Contributes to innovation efforts by gathering and analyzing local market insights that inform the innovation strategy and drive business growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Membrane Science.
  • Deep understanding of polymer chemistry and membrane science.
  • Experience with polymeric hollow fibre and flatsheet development.
  • Experience with IP management.
