Fellowship in VascularSurgery

The Department ofCardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National UniversityHospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in VascularSurgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services.There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We havean aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular aswell as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeonsworked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship willbe at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to doon call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

Wewelcome international candidates who have previous vascularexperience and looking for further opportunities to enhance theirvascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit ofvascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in researchand teaching. Depending on candidates' previous skills set, weoffer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. Themaximum training duration is 24 months for candidates at juniorregistrar level and 12 months for advanced fellowship. The advancedfellowship is suitable for candidates who have completed theirvascular training in their country.

Thisfellowship is recognized by Singapore Medical Council(SMC) andapplicants are subject to the registration requirements of SMC. Forinformal enquiries, please write to Dr. Julian Wong, Head ofVascular Division(Julian_Wong@nuhs.edu.sg).
