We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project/Operational Supervisor/Manager to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction and renovation projects. In this role, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards by coordinating workers, managing materials, maintaining safety compliance, and communicating effectively with clients, Architect, Consultant, the Director and any parties involved, while actively addressing any on-site challenges that may arise.


Key Responsibilities:

Site & Project Management:

  • Report directly to the Director on daily site/project updates, including work progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Oversee and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely project completion within financial constraints.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure that project design, requirements, and milestones are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and resolve any on-site issues.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to the Director, detailing completed work, potential challenges, and necessary adjustments.

Sales and Client Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to secure both new and repeat business opportunities.
  • Identify new business leads, including sourcing for tender opportunities (e.g., via GeBIZ) and preparing tender submissions till completion.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Workforce & Subcontractor Management:

  • Plan, schedule, and delegate tasks to workers and supervisors, ensuring all activities are in line with project timelines.
  • Effectively manage and supervise foreign workers ensuring compliance with site safety regulations and resolving any performance or disciplinary issues.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring their work meets project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols on-site, conduct regular safety briefings, and ensure adherence to all safety regulations.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments (RA) and submit them as required by clients/authorities. Monitor for compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Address potential safety hazards to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

Technical and Administrative Support:

  • Review and interpret project drawings and specifications to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of project documentation, including contracts, safety records, and Risk Assessments (RA).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation.

Team Leadership and Communication:

  • Lead and motivate teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high productivity and morale.
  • Foster effective communication across all teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and alignment with project objectives.
  • Manage and resolve any on-site conflicts, providing timely solutions to keep the project on track.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Be available to work after regular hours, weekends or public holidays when required to meet project deadlines or resolve issues on-site.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and spoken Mandarin/Hokkien.
  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a construction-related field, recognized by BCA.
  • Certifications: Valid CSOC / BCSS certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction, renovation, and/or A&A projects in Singapore (3 years for Supervisor role and 5 years for Manager role). - Experienced as a Technical Controller before / 5 years experience in construction structural work.
  • License: Class 3 driving license (own vehicle is an added advantage but not mandatory).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, the tendering process in Singapore and BCA requirements, rules and regulations.
    - Ability to interpret and manage construction drawings and specifications.
    - Proven experience in managing foreign workers and subcontractors effectively.
    - Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
    - Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. - Experienced and knowlegeable in GeBiz tendering processes.
    - Solid understanding and experience in conducting and submitting Risk Assessments (RA).
    - Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Additional Skills/Certs (Added Advantage):
  • Additional certifications related to Risk Assessments (RA) are a plus.
  • Additional valid certifications such as Work-At-Height or any other construction/site-related.
  • Knowledge and experienced in ISO.
  • Experience with business development and client relationship management.
