Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

· This position will be responsible for executing trades across commodity markets, supporting the Company's revenue target. This role reports to Head, Trading and Market Research.

· This position will be focusing on key growth market particularly in Turkey

· Knowledge in commodity trading and edible oils in key market sectors are essential.

Job Content

The trader will spend significant time analyzing Turkey's commodity market trends, collaborating with teams to refine strategies, and ensuring accurate transaction flow and reporting including but not limited to:

1. Analyze market trends with a focus on agriculture and macro-economics

2. Understand customer demand requirements

3. Identify trading risk and opportunities

3. Monitor trade positions, ensuring accurate position tracking and reporting

4. Execute trade transactions including trade entry

5. Together with the market intelligence team, assess fundamental data points and market conditions

6. Together with the quantitative team, develop strategies incorporating economic data sets across the region

Knowledge & Skill

Education / Professional Qualification

Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields such as economics, finance, statistics, etc.

Professional Experience

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial related role in commodities

2. Familiar with risk management systems and position management.

3. Experience in market/economic/financial analysis

Familiarity and/ or experience in key growth market e.g. Turkey will be advantageous

Technical

· Knowledge of commodity market factors and related economic considerations in Turkey

· Knowledge of modelling using statistical software and econometric models

· Strong analytical skills

Knowledge of Turkey's edible oils market

Leadership

· Strong communication skills

· Teamwork

· Idea generation and strategy setting
