Roles & Responsibilities

On behalf of one of its clients in the luxury F&B sector, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for an Accountant to join a dynamic and growing team.

The hiring company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to manage accounting operations and collaborate with various teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to support global financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including subsidiaries.
  • Perform month-end closing activities such as general ledger entries, journal postings, inventory reconciliation, balance sheet schedules, and fixed asset schedules.
  • Assist in GST/VAT report submission and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare and handle monthly reporting packs for group submission.
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
  • Oversee and guide the accounting team on operational financial matters.
  • Participate in system enhancements and implementations.
  • Support finance-related matters for overseas expansion if required.
  • Handle ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Finance/Accounting or a relevant Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central/NAVISION is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros are an advantage).
  • Experience in audit, F&B, or managing overseas accounts is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with people across different levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, financial analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident, committed, and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in French is an advantage, as the role involves liaising with teams based in France.
