What you will be working on

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a mid-to-large enterprise data centre and user network, covering both on-Premises and Cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
  • Oversee end-to-end network security operations, including technical design, configuration, implementation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and service management, ensuring a secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure.
  • Lead network security and compliance efforts, including firewall tuning, threat detection, network segmentation, and access control policies, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular security assessment and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential risks.
    Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Support may be required outside official working hours for emergencies.

What we are looking for

  • Relevant experience in network security administration, implementations, and monitoring.
  • Strong technical proficiency in at least two of the following areas:
    o Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) Operations including tuning of threats and detections
    o Azure/AWS Networking Design and Configuration
    o Network Detection & Response (NDR) / Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) Tuning and Operations
    o Network Routing and Switching
    o Enterprise Data-centre Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
    o Enterprise Wireless Troubleshooting
    o Network Load Balancers
  • Familiarity with the following areas will be an added advantage:
    o Network Access Control (NAC) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MMFA) systems administration
    o DNS, Proxy servers, Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS)
    o Workflow and Automation, e.g. Firewall rule management systems, Information Technology Service Management (ITSM)
    o Network Monitoring using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and REST APIs
    o Scripting to support operations or data retrieval
  • Strong cybersecurity mindset with the ability to assess and mitigate risks while designing and maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, willing to take on new challenges and continuously learn in a dynamic technology environment.
  • Certifications in CISSP, CCNA, CCNP and or CCDA would be advantageous.

The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will commensurate with individual work experiences.

Position is on 2-year full time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with potential for emplacement into permanent position.
