The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information islooking for a Research Assistant/Research Associate/Research Fellowwho is interested in examining the use of digital healthtechnologies (health apps, wearables, exergames, VR/AR) to improveolder adults' physical health and mentalwell-being.

The successful candidate will havethe opportunity to work with highly acclaimed scholars from NTU,Singapore ETH Centre, and ETH Zurich and contribute to thedevelopment of a digital health tech ecosystem for older adults inSingapore.

KeyResponsibilities:
  • Conductliterature search
  • Assist in development andconceptualization of surveys, experiments, and focus group/in-depthinterviews
  • Assist in data analysis of surveys,experiments, focus group/in-depth interviews, and "big data" fromsocial media and healthapps/wearables
  • Contribute to researchpublications and presentations
  • Assist inwriting progress report and final researchreport
  • Engage in the dissemination of theresults of the research with the support of and under thesupervision of the Principal Investigator
  • Carryout administrative work associated with the program of research asnecessary


JobRequirements:
  • PhD and Masterin fields including communication, psychology, sociology, or asocial science related discipline. Bachelor's degree withexperiences in similar field are welcome.
  • Priorexperience in social science research (e.g.,quantitative/qualitative projects) and/or research in the use ofdigital health technologies (eg., health apps, wearables,exergames, VR/AR) in older adults
  • Goodquantitative/qualitative data management and analytical skills(e.g., being able to analyze data using SPSS, MPLUS, R, and/orPython)
  • Good communication and organizationalskills (ability to work in a highly collaborative andmulti-cultural team environment)
  • Drivenself-starter with good interpersonal communicationskills
  • Team player in a project setting, alsowith ability to work independently in a multi-cultural teamenvironment
  • Internationally recognized researchtrack record as evidenced by journal publications and conferencepresentations
