Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform the startup and shutdown (when necessary) with the equipment functional team for machinery of dedicated process(es).
  • Conduct the daily handover briefings for the production team at the start and end of each working shift.
  • Communicate the daily production run targets to the production team.
  • Set and adjust the machinery operational settings to ensure optimal production performances.
  • Conduct checks on change of machinery settings and tools by operators during event of product change, machinery re-start, etc.
  • Conduct routine inspection on machinery to ensure equipment and tool integrity.
  • Manage the inventory level of raw material, chemical and machinery consumable, on the shopfloor.
  • Conduct check and maintain updated data-entry/logging information of shopfloor activities for proper traceability purposes.
  • Address all abnormality issues reported by the production team during production runs and provide countermeasures – e.g. change of machinery settings, use of different batch of raw materials, etc.
  • Conduct checks on production output to ensure quality standards/requirement are achieved.
  • Conduct primary investigations for output defective cases to determine root causes.
  • Arrange shopfloor headcount resources to support alternative functional manufacturing areas, when necessary.
  • Assume operator's role in supporting production runs, when necessary.
  • Communicate quality, material and machinery issues, among other topics, to the Manufacturing management team timely.
  • Conduct routine machinery maintenance works with other equipment functional teams.
  • Perform 5S activities and maintain care for dedicated work-areas.
  • Participate in shopfloor Quality and/or Continuous Improvement activities (e.g. Gemba walk), when applicable.
  • Participate in routine shopfloor EH&S activities.
  • Conduct routine inspection check on PPE adequacy for production team.
  • Conduct regular safety trainings and briefings for production team.
  • Adopt the 1st level leadership role for the production team to support production crew – e.g. resolving of disputes, work clarifications, etc.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, to support team and organization goals.

Job Requirements

Professional Qualifications:

  • Institute of Technical Education (ITE) diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in chemical handling.
  • Certification in manufacturing safety & hazard awareness.
  • Certification in Quality inspection/assurance training.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Fundamental competency in Microsoft Office software – Excel, Word, etc.
  • Familiarisation with Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Familiarisation with Power BI software and/or manufacturing report presentation.
  • Understanding of ISO standards.
  • Professional experience(s) with the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience in chemical handling.
  • Experience in handing precision measurement and/or inspection instrument.
