A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Engineer like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.

Our MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Engineers play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence by driving technical solutions and process improvements at our overhaul bases.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defense vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities

  • Represent Rolls-Royce Engineering on-site at the overhaul base to lead technical discussions and drive technical solutions supporting operational requirements.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to optimize costs, manhours, and turnaround time through process improvements, repair process development, and existing limits extension.
  • Develop and scope identified opportunities into sizeable work packages, collaborating with internal teams and external partners (overhaul bases and component repair business units) to deliver solutions efficiently.
  • Work with a team of contractors delivering fixed work packages (repair revisions, manual revisions, technical variances), ensuring consistent output while responding to ad-hoc requests.
  • Review, assess, and approve Technical Variances (TVs) and repair manual revisions.
  • Analyze complex data from multiple sources to create analytical dashboards, driving business improvement and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with Rolls-Royce engines and at least 5 years in Repair Design.
  • Must be a Repair Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) and Delegated Airworthiness Engineer (DAE).
  • Strong ability to lead teams of professionals, including suppliers and contractors, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data analytics proficiency with the ability to manipulate complex data and generate insightful reports.
  • Effective global communication and presentation skills, ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-driven with a strong ability to drive technical improvements.
