Technical Project Manager

You will work closely with the Product team to define the technical product roadmap, detect early risks, and identify cross-functional dependencies. You will also manage the deployed product and You will also work closely with other Project Managers and engineers, supporting each other in a dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced environment. While you are not expected to write code yourself, a technical mindset is expected; being able to read and understand programming logic is a huge plus.
You are logical and methodical, able to plan projects in advance, mitigate risks, and dive deep into projects to solve technical and complex strategic problems. You communicate clearly and effectively and can build rapport and understanding with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, providing visibility into project health and progress. You are a problem solver, dedicated to identifying, tracking and solving problems affecting project progress, including working with developers to debug code and analyse logs.
What you will bring to Quilt.AI:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of project/product management or related technical experience with successful delivery of products to market.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, Internet technologies, and machine learning.
- Experience with project management software such as MS Project, Jira or Asana.
- Practised in Agile methodologies and tools, such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python (preferred), R, Java, or C/C++.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills.
- A deadline-oriented mindset.
Preferred (Additional requirements which are not necessarily prerequisites):
- Knowledge of modern machine learning techniques and MLOps.
- Experience with site reliability engineering and continuous integration and deployment tools such as Google Cloud Build, Jenkins, Ansible or similarExperience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Apache Airflow or Prefect.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.

Roles & Responsibilities
As part of a growing team consisting of machine learning experts, software developers as well as social scientists, the Technical Project Manager will drive and coordinate the development of software products for generating insights from big data. This role offers a chance to work on exciting challenges in the fields of machine learning, semiotics, image, audio and video analytics.
