The Role:

We are seeking passionate and skilled offensive security experts to join the STAR Labs SG team as a Principal Security Researcher. In this role, you will help to identify innovative vulnerabilities at scale across a diverse range of clients. This position is based in Singapore.

Are you driven to find vulnerabilities in software? Do you enjoy exploring low-level programming for hardware and software? Or perhaps you're interested in reverse-engineering complex systems like Android, Windows, enterprise systems, or embedded devices? Our clients rely on our comprehensive approach to simulate continuous red-teaming, helping them identify weaknesses across their organizations.

If it's exposed to the internet—whether it's SaaS, cloud, shadow IT, or an old marketing website that's been forgotten—it's our job to discover it, highlight it and exploit it.

This is your chance to apply your expertise and creativity to continuously identify ways to break into systems at scale.

What You Will Do:

  • Spend your days hacking—more professionally, "discovering innovative, high-impact vulnerabilities across various organizations."
  • Focus on finding vulnerabilities that matter—those that have a significant impact on our clients. We prioritize real threats (e.g., code execution) over minor issues like insecure algorithms.
  • Collaborate with other offensive security researchers to share ideas, brainstorm new techniques, and develop strategies to demonstrate impactful weaknesses.
  • Conduct cutting-edge offensive security research, testing your tactics and techniques to strengthen external attack surfaces.
  • If you aspire to speak at conferences and share your research globally, we'll support you in making that happen

Ideal Experience:We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience who has:

  • Participated in red-team exercises with large enterprises.
  • A deep understanding of how to break into enterprises without relying on known vulnerabilities or CVEs.
  • Extensive experience in bug bounty programs, with a knack for thinking outside the box.
  • Self-driven with strong initiative—you understand the mission and don't need close supervision.
