JobPurpose

This 1st Line of Defencerole contributes to the overall risk management and controlframework across six core CBGO markets and five brokerage units.The Generalist will lead risk identification, assessment, andmitigation efforts, ensuring alignment with the Group's riskappetite across Customer Centre, Self-Service Banking,Retail-Wealth-Brokerage Ops, and Service Provider Governance. Thisrole requires strong collaboration with location and other regionalrisk units.

KeyAccountabilities

Across theunits in Group CBGO :
  1. Risk Management &Mitigation: Lead risk identification, assessment,and mitigation activities, ensuring alignment with theorganization's risk appetite. Develop and implement risk mitigationstrategies and report on performance to seniorleadership.
  2. Control Oversight& Testing: Conduct periodic risk reviews and keyrisk indicator analysis to ensure the effectiveness of internalcontrols. Oversee remediation of control gaps.
  3. Vendor Management: Drivegovernance over outsourced service providers (OSPs), including riskassessment, contract management, and performance monitoring. Ensurecompliance with regulatory expectations.
  4. Risk Culture & Training:Champion a strong risk culture by supporting and training CBGOteams on risk awareness and best practices. Lead risk culturebuilding initiatives.
  5. RiskProject Delivery: Contribute to and deliver onrisk-related projects & initiatives within agreedtimelines

Job Duties& responsibilities
  1. Identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring alignmentwith organizational risk appetite through risk reviews, standardassessments, metrics analysis etc. Ensure timely escalations &reporting per Bank & regulatory expectations.
  2. Develop framework, metrics and thresholds to support theCBGO risk mitigation programs and escalate emerging or at-riskissues to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  3. Drive oversight over Operations/CCTR teams on:key riskindicators - for effectiveness of internal controls and to ensurerisk exposure over the key processes are within risk appetite andcomply with the bank's standards.
    key quality metrics -for identifying potential risks/ gaps in processes, reviewingcontrols for new processes and initiatives and conducting detailedassessments where required.
    outsourced services - and itsproviders through periodic reviews for their service performance,due diligence activities and timely contract governance.
  4. Assess Gen AI use cases to ensure adherence toOperational Risk Guardrails & Gen AI use case governance flowand other requirements prescribed by the Bank.
  5. Collaborate withSenior management and other regional riskteams to establish risk management goals and objectives. Report onrisk management performance and emerging risks to seniorleadership.
    Location Risk Managers and oversee riskmitigation programs to remediate control gaps identified from rootcause analysis and lessons learnt.
    Other Risk Managementteams to support & train CBGO to foster strong risk &control culture and awareness across the CBGOteams.

Requirements:
  1. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Banking/Financial Services industry with sound understanding of financialservices processes.
  2. Adequate knowledge andapplication of risk policies & banking regulations.
  3. Proven success in excelling as individual contributor andleading by influencing.
  4. Exposure to one ormore of CBGO markets for DBS
  5. Goodorganisational and strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Having strong thought leadership and motivationalskills.
