NIE invitessuitable candidates to join the Division of Academic Computing& Information Services (ACIS) as an Analyst Programmer/SystemsAnalyst . This is a contract position till 31 Dec2024.

The candidate should be a dynamic ITprofessional who is a good team player and a strong softwaredeveloper.

JobDescription

As a member of the DigitalSolutions department, your responsibilitiesinclude:
  • Application Development andSupport
    • Analyse, design, develop, testand implement the application systems within the project timeframeand in accordance to users'requirements.
    • Maintain existing in-houseapplications.
    • Ensure applications conform toData Governance, IT Audit and Securityrequirements.
  • Collaboratewith IT teams on implementation and deployment ofapplications.
  • Focus on good code quality andhigh-test coverage and participate in codereviews.
  • Integrate software components andthird-party programs to meetspecifications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgradeexistingapplications.

Requiredabilities and skills:
  • AUniversity Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+years of experience as a software developer, softwareengineer, or similar role.
  • Entry-levelapplicants are welcome to apply.
  • Quick learnerwho is passionate and willing to learn new languages andtechnologies.
  • Good self-motivated team playerwith a positive attitude and flexibility in adapting tochanges.
  • Ability to manage IT projectsindependently.
  • Ability to work with tightdeadlines and fluid requirements.
  • Experience inthe Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework and Agilesoftware development methodology.
  • Robustknowledge of .Net coding language.
  • Relevantexperience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM)frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
  • Possessing thefollowing skillsets will give the applicant addedadvantage:
    • Experience in RPA (RoboticProcess Automation).
    • Experience in datavisualization.
    • Experience in low codedevelopment platform.
    • Experience in softwareintegration withAPIs.
