Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Platform Administrator to manage the AWS

platform activities for the smooth business operations and supporting the hybrid data platform

with primary focus on AWS administrative tasks alongside managing other Group Data

platforms such as Big Data clusters (HADOOP) / Informatica / Tableau / Dataiku.

Job Scope


• Develop and maintain DevOps pipeline on AWS Cloud


• Develop and maintain AWS CloudFormation IaC templates.


• Develop and maintain user access controls on AWS Cloud


• Develop and maintain cloud monitoring of key metrics/events on AWS Cloud


• Implement the platform architecture to meet the organization's needs


• Configure and administer platform including security, performance, and scalability


• Create and manage user accounts and permissions


• Monitor and troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the platform


• Plan and execute application software upgrades, patches, and maintenance


• Develop and implement backup strategies


• Collaborate with other Group Data Platform admins and IT infra to ensure the application

infrastructure integrates with other systems and platforms


• Support the integration with AWS ecosystems.


• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes

appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.


• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and

technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.


• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management

practices


• Responsible for working closely with relevant teams / vendors to make sure that all the

platform performance and availability


• Responsible for capacity planning and estimating the requirements for lowering or

increasing the capacity of the platforms.


• Perform optimizations


• Perform POCs of new capability in Platform.

Deliverables


• Codes/artefacts/documentation related to DevOps pipeline on AWS Cloud


• Codes/artefacts/documentation related to AWS CloudFormation IaC templates.


• Codes/artefacts/documentation related to user access controls on AWS Cloud


• Codes/artefacts/documentation related to cloud monitoring of key metrics/events

on AWS Cloud


• Create and maintain documentation for Platform SOPs

Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field


• 7 + years of hands-on experience in AWS platform administration and other data

platforms related administrations


• Basic networking knowledge (network routing, IPv4)


• Programming skill (you add on what you need)


• Operating System knowledge (Windows and/or Linux)


• Understanding or hands on experience to CI/CD Pipeline


• Understanding or hands on experience in CloudFormation (mandatory) or Terraform


• Understanding of AWS infrastructure services, such as IAM roles and policies, Security

Control Policies, VPC routings and security groups


• Understanding of AWS AI/ML platform services


• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.


• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new

changes.
