Position Title: Part-Time Swim Coach
Location: Singapore NPSI International School
Reports To: Associate Vice-Principal, Sports and Students Nurturing


Position Overview:

NPS International School Singapore is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Swim Coach to join our dynamic PE Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming, experience in coaching diverse age groups and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students. This role involves coaching swimmers of various skill levels from beginners to advanced competitors, and participating in swim meets and events.


Key Responsibilities:


Training and Coaching:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive swim training programmes tailored to the skill levels and goals of student-athletes.
  • Conduct regular swim practices, focusing on technique, endurance, and overall swimming skills.
  • Provide individualised feedback and instruction to help swimmers improve their performance.
  • Monitor swimmers' progress and adjust training plans as needed.
  • Attend swim meets as required

Safety and Supervision:

  • Ensure the safety of all swimmers during practices and meets, adhering to all school and safety protocols.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents and school staff regarding schedules, progress and any concerns.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, training sessions and swimmer performance.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of swim-related events and activities.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports science, or a related field (preferred).
    • Current coaching certification from a recognised swimming organisation
    • Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certification.

Experience:

  • Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, training methodologies and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

The selected coach will be paid SGD60-80 SGD per hour
