Job Description: Gym Cleaner

Position Title: Gym Cleaner

Job Type: [Full-time/Part-time]

Reports To: Gym Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Gym Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our gym facilities. The Gym Cleaner will ensure that all areas, including the workout areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas, are clean and presentable at all times. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, be proactive, and possess a passion for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Daily Cleaning: Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Sanitization: Regularly sanitize gym equipment, machines, and mats to ensure they are hygienic and safe for use.
  • Trash Removal: Empty trash cans and recycling bins, and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Locker Room Upkeep: Ensure locker rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Floor Care: Maintain the cleanliness of all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing as needed.
  • Windows and Mirrors: Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces to ensure they are streak-free.
  • Emergency Cleanups: Respond to emergency cleaning situations promptly, such as spills or accidents.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, and report any shortages or maintenance needs to the Gym Manager.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing member concerns or questions related to cleanliness.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work, preferably in a gym or fitness center.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and good time management skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and best practices in hygiene and sanitation.
  • Communication: Basic communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
