ABOUT WORLD TABLE TENNIS

The creation of World Table Tennis (WTT) is set to revolutionise the way table tennis is viewed and commercialised across the globe. With significant external investment and commitment to long term partnership, WTT is much more than a vehicle to house current rights. As the dedicated commercial rights entity, for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), WTT has the ambition and ability to create new assets and events, capitalising on the unrivalled potential of the sport. The clear aim is to build WTT into a revenue generation powerhouse, ploughing profits back into Table Tennis to continually develop and transform the sport. With 300 million players and over 500 million fans, the potential of the sport of table tennis is waiting to be unleashed.

WTT FINANCE MANAGER

World Table Tennis (WTT) is a commercial entity created by the ITTF to grow the professionalization of table tennis by running ITTF's commercial and events business. Taking a new, innovative and entrepreneurial approach to how table tennis should manage its competition platform and positioning, WTT has been tasked with re-imagining a new professional event structure, reenergizing the entertainment and fan experience, and re-defining the new era.

WTT is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Finance Manager who has good business acumen and will be responsible for the spectrum of operational tasks and projects under the Business Services Finance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full set of accounts and month-end closing for the Company and its subsidiaries
  • Oversee daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring accounts are closed by the 10th of each month
  • Prepare GST/VAT Returns, where applicable
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring inflows, outflows, and ensuring adequate liquidity for operations
  • Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Assist with financial data analysis and budgeting/forecasting
  • Liaise with auditors and tax agent, providing required documentation
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Finance Director

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Minimum Diploma in Accountancy / Finance / Banking
  • At least 5 years of working relevant experience in related field
  • Analytical, meticulous with a keen eye for numbers
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
  • Experience with Xero would be advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in MS Excel
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with different teams

Desirable:

  • Passion for sport and business;
  • Ability to work in multiple languages.
