PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Investment, for an Investment Analyst/Manager to be part of the deal team. The individual will be responsible in conducting research on investments and provide recommendations on transactions including, but not limited to, listed securities

(listed equities and fixed income instruments), M&A and real estate portfolios.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Manage a portfolio of discretionary investment strategies focusing on listed equities and fixed income and across any subset of sectors including, but not limited to, REITs, financials, consumer, industrials, technology, etc

2. Formulate and execute investment strategies and ideas within well-defined risk parameters

3. Conduct due diligence and investment research on relevant trade strategies and ideas

4. Responsible for deal flow screening, evaluation and updating of pipeline of investments including real estate, joint ventures and portfolio companies portfolios.

5. Develop financial models, valuation views for potential investment and provide leadership on the appropriate valuation approach

6. Prepare presentation documents including investment papers, brief company descriptions and proposal across multiple industries

7. Monitor existing portfolio and reports on investment performance and manage the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, establish the working plan of each project phase

8. Conduct investment research, evaluate and prepare reports and presentation relating to companies and M&A and real estate deals

9. Various administrative tasks such as managing service providers and arrange and prepare for board meetings

Job Requirements:

• Strong academic grades from a top tier educational institution with a degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Commerce and a chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation (preferred)

• 5-8 years’ related experience in an investing environment in MNC/ family office / equity funds or as a sell side analyst or research analyst in an investment bank or corporate finance house focusing on investment research or trading publicly listed equities products or investments.

• In-depth knowledge of the publicly listed equities space across a defined subset of companies within one or more sectors

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and Bloomberg terminal. Proficient with financial modelling

• High interest in and enthusiastic about economic and financial market trends

• Self-motivated team player and entrepreneurial mindset

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills

• Able to multi-task and excel in fast-paced dynamic environment.
