Job Description

  • Lead engineering team on various work streams to ensure smooth operations of systems and production
  • Ensure the team adheres to strict timelines set and deliver
  • Lead and perform controlled tests on various feed stock types
  • Lead studies on outputs by systems – i.e. quality of syngas and biochar, energy regeneration etc.
  • Lead system design and optimization, and budgeting
  • Lead compliance with local and international regulations
  • Lead and review Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP) and Hazard Identification Study (HAZID) in all system implementations
  • Responsible for Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and operation manuals
  • Support system installations and operations as required
  • Pioneer R&D efforts
  • Support other tasks as directed by the management

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Candidates with >5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in boilers, distillation columns, gas routing preferred
  • Knowledge in pyrolysis, syngas and biochar (good to have)
  • Hands-on personality, and able to work on the ground operating/fixing the systems
  • Good knowledge on simulation using Aspen HYSYS
  • Experience setting up or running a plant will be preferred
  • Comfortable working in Tuas and Joo Koon areas

  • Diligent, self-motivated and a collaborative team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Good Project management, Microsoft Excel statistical function and reporting.
  • Able to lead the design of experiments (DOEs) and ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information
  • Possibility of travel may arise
