Roles & Responsibilities

Are you a passionate Chemistry tutor with a knack for leadership and management? Axiom Education is looking for a dynamic and high-energy Chemistry Tutor & Tuition Centre Manager to join our team full-time. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tutor who wants to take on a leadership role in managing operations and driving student success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for IB and H2 (A-Level) Chemistry students.
  • Develop high-quality lesson materials, including practice questions, handouts, and worksheets tailored to exam requirements.
  • Foster a supportive and motivating environment to help students build confidence and mastery.
  • Break down complex concepts intuitively, catering to different learning styles.
  • Stay updated with syllabus changes and exam trends to continuously improve lesson delivery.
  • Engage with students beyond lessons, providing mentorship and academic guidance

2. Centre Management Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily tuition centre operations, ensuring smooth scheduling, student-tutor coordination, and lesson logistics.
  • Monitor and track student progress, ensuring consistent performance improvements.
  • Work closely with tutors to maintain high teaching standards and improve lesson effectiveness.
  • Work with our social media team on our monthly social media strategy and filming to enhance our online presence.
  • Collaborate with our website designer to ensure the website is regularly updated and aligned with our brand.
  • Handle parent communications, providing timely updates on student progress and addressing concerns professionally.
  • Ensure an optimal learning environment, including managing classroom facilities, student inquiries, and overall centre efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (graduate or undergraduate).
  • At least 3 years of tutoring or teaching experience in IB or H2 (A-Level) Chemistry
  • Strong familiarity with exam techniques, syllabus structures, and marking schemes for IB & H2 Chemistry.
