About Our Client

Our client, an established and rapidly expanding organization founded in 2019, operates in the Hospitality (Hotels) and Food and Beverage (F&B) industries. The company is committed to continuously improving operational processes, implementing industry best practices, adopting advanced technologies, and investing in the training and development of its employees to ensure long-term success and relevance in a competitive market. As their business continues to grow, they are looking for a Finance Controller from the full-service hotel industry to join their expanding team.

Job Description
  • Oversee accounting and financial management for all F&B outlets, self-managed hotel properties, and a management services entity.
  • Manage the daily operations of F&B outlets and self-managed hotel properties, ensuring smooth processes and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance on accounting procedures, best practices, and fostering the growth of the finance function within F&B and hotel entities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Ensure the fair and consistent administration of company policies.
  • Prepare and review annual budgets, forecasts, and operating results, monitoring variances and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash flow, reduce idle cash, and ensure sufficient operational funding.
  • Assist with cost control efforts by analyzing departmental expenses and identifying areas for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and filing deadlines for all F&B entities, self-managed hotel properties, and the management services entity.
  • Support the establishment and stabilization of the Internal Audit and Procurement functions.
The Successful Applicant
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or equivalent would be highly beneficial).
  • At least 10 years of experience in finance, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the hotel and F&B sectors.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with experience overseeing large finance and operational teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, and regulations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and build lasting relationships with top-stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with financial software such as Oracle Netsuite, Opera Cloud, various POS systems, and Microsoft Excel.
