Responsibilities

We’re looking for a meticulous and proactive Legal Compliance Officer to support compliance and legal matters across the company’s operations.

  • Support senior management and stakeholders on legal and compliance issues by providing legal counsel and recommendations;
  • Oversee and manage tasks and matters across the company’s operations, including intellectual property, governance, data protection, employment and litigation;
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse portfolio of contracts and legal documents, including employment agreements; • Engage in various special projects and assignments, incorporating legal and regulatory considerations;
  • Advise on data protection issues, policies, and practices;
  • Maintain current knowledge on regulatory compliance trends, emerging threats, and industry developments;
  • Monitor and assess new legislative and regulatory actions, including guidelines, directives, and circulars issued by relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring organisation-wide compliance;
  • Analyse and recommend enhancements to internal processes and compliance procedures, perform compliance audits and investigations;
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies on compliance matters, including the preparation and submission of necessary documentation and filings;
  • Compile routine reports on compliance, risk management, outsourcing, litigation, and privacy, and conduct risk assessments and compliance testing;
  • Implement and manage Environmental, Social and Governance frameworks, and prepare reports;
  • Work closely with HQ on all legal and compliance matters for the region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Law;
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification work experience;
  • Experience working with APAC markets;
  • Deep understanding of regional and global data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR;
  • Experience in ESG would be an advantage;
  • Business acumen and familiarity with the regional business landscape;
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with different levels of employees.
