Duration: 1 year contract (highly renewable subject to work performance)

Working Location: Changi Business Park

Salary up to S$4,000


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop FX applications using microservices, OpenShift, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Write efficient, high-performance code for financial systems based on business requirements.
  • Optimize applications to ensure maximum performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and system interfaces.
  • Create technical documentation to accurately represent application design and code.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders in an Agile-Scrum environment.
  • Work closely with QA to develop automation test scripts.
  • Deliver high-quality code within tight deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, business users, external vendors, and technology partners.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Software Developer.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Java/J2EE (e.g., Spring Framework, NodeJS, Hibernate).
  • Solid understanding of Core Java, multi-threaded programming, and object-oriented principles.
  • Familiarity with microservices, Elasticsearch, WebSockets, and container technologies.
  • Strong grasp of scalable application design principles.
  • Hands-on experience building reliable and scalable microservices on OpenShift or AWS.
  • Practical knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud frameworks.
  • Experience with JSON, JSP, Servlet, Ajax, JavaScript, jQuery, and Java Restful web services (both provider and consumer).
  • Proven ability to translate high-level designs into production-ready solutions.
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and functional reactive programming.
  • Experience with automated testing, unit testing, and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
  • Proficient in source code version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in a banking environment is a plus.
