Manager, Contracts and Procurement

Based in Singapore, the Manager, Contracts and Procurement will report directly to the Senior Director, Finance, Legal, and Business Operations and play a pivotal role in driving efficiency and compliance across the company’s procurement and contract management functions. This position will be instrumental in optimizing processes, leading the accurate accounting for new contracts and ensuring alignment with corporate policies and strategic objectives.


The Manager, Contracts and Procurement, will be managing the organization’s contract lifecycle and procurement activities. This includes overseeing contract compliance, leading the accurate provisioning of contracts, supporting procurement initiatives and working closely with member airlines to identify and implement strategic sourcing opportunities that deliver measurable value.


Job Summary

Support Business Units:

  • Oversee the procurement requirements of business units, ensuring adherence to corporate procurement policies.
  • Provide expert advice and support to business units, including drafting requests for proposals (RFPs) and facilitating the procurement process.


Contract Policy Compliance:

  • Manage and supervise compliance with the company’s contracts policy, ensuring all agreements meet internal policies and standards.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on contract-related matters to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Record and update all liabilities generated by contracts in the company’s ERP system.


Procurement Process Management:

  • Support the development and implementation of efficient procurement processes across business units.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies and guidelines at all stages of the procurement cycle.


Strategic Facilitation:

  • Collaborate with member airlines to align procurement strategies and streamline processes.
  • Act as a central point of contact to manage joint procurement opportunities effectively.


Economic Value Assessment:

  • Evaluate procurement and contract activities to identify and maximize economic value.
  • Prepare reports on the financial and operational impact of procurement initiatives.


Your Profile

  • Proven experience in contract management and procurement within a corporate environment.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of procurement policies, contract compliance, and legal frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess the economic and strategic impact of contracts and procurement activities.
  • Confident but amicable communicator.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications in legal or business is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in English is essential, as it is the sole language used for communication with Star Alliance Member Airlines and other external stakeholder
