Job Description:

The Chinese School of International Studies is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team. This position requires proficiency in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to deliver engaging lectures in Chinese. As a bilingual lecturer, you will play a crucial role in teaching hospitality/tourism/marketing/finance/accounting/business-related courses to our students, thereby contributing to their academic and professional development.

1. Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism

2. Front Office Operations

3. Housekeeping

4. Food and Beverage Operations

5. Food Sanitation, Safety and Health

6. Facilities and Maintenance Management

7. Food and Beverage Management

8. Human Resource Management

9. Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events

10. Issues in Hospitality and Tourism Management

11. Resort Management

12. Niche and Speciality Tourism


Job Requirements:

· A minimum of a master’s degree in business, hospitality, tourism, accounting, finance, or related fields with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

· Teaching qualifications, such as Specialist Diploma in Adult Learning and Teaching (SDALT), Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP), and Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE), are highly valued.

· Proficiency in both Chinese and English, with the ability to deliver lectures effectively in Chinese.

· Exceptional presentation and communication skills to captivate students' attention.

· Student-oriented mindset, dedicated to providing a nurturing learning environment.

· Enthusiastic about learning and teaching, with a genuine desire to inspire students.

· Immediate availability would be advantageous.


Responsibilities:

· Deliver engaging lectures in Chinese to students enrolled in business-related courses.

· Create a conducive learning environment that fosters student engagement and participation.

· Develop and update course materials and curriculum to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

· Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate their learning journey.

· Organise educational activities and excursions to enhance the overall learning experience.

· Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching standards and practices.
