This role is all about turning big ideas into real impact. You will lead the charge in attracting sponsors, growing donor support, and making sure the world sees what our athletes and community are capable of. You will craft stories that inspire, pitch ideas that win hearts (and budgets), and build partnerships that fuel our journey to the SEA Games 2029 and beyond.

What Gets You Out of Bed
1. Sponsorship & Fundraising
• Be the front-runner of our sponsorship engine — from spotting opportunities, creating value and sealing the deal.
• Rally support from companies, donors, and even international partners.
• Create sponsorship proposals that get people excited to be part of the SCF journey.
• Build strong, lasting relationships that go beyond contracts.
• Roll out creative fundraising campaigns — think corporate giving, crowdfunding, even legacy gifts.
• Keep tabs on what's working, report the wins, and keep pushing the bar higher.
2. Marketing & Brand Magic
• Lead how the world sees paddling in Singapore — and make it unforgettable.
• Promote athletes, events, and initiatives that show off the sport's fun, inclusive, and high perfromance side.
• Keep our website, socials, and newsletters engaging and on brand.
• Tell stories that spark interest and deliver value to our sponsors and community.
• Track marketing success, then tweak and fine-tune for even greater impact.
3. Business Development & Innovation
• Dream up fresh ways to generate income — from merchandise drops to paddling experiences.
• Work with different SCF teams to turn every program into a commercial opportunity.
• Align SCF's goals with companies' CSR, ESG, and brand values.
• Tap into agency grants to fuel our commercial growth.
• Keep up with trends in sport marketing and sponsorship — and stay one paddle stroke ahead.
4. Sponsor Activation & Servicing
• Deliver on our sponsorship promises — and go the extra mile.
• Make sponsor brands shine at events, on digital, and through our athletes.
• Create impact reports and activation summaries that wow partners.
• Make sure everything we share is aligned with partner expectations and brand voice.
5. Budgeting & Governance
• Keep our sponsorship and marketing budgets in check and aligned with our strategy.
• Ensure everything we do is above board — from grants to governance.
• Report clearly to the General Manager and Board on progress, impact, and performance.
• Keep our documentation clean, clear, and campaign-ready.
6. Leadership & Relationships
• Lead impactful projects and manage vendors to bring campaigns to life.
• Build meaningful relationships with media, government agencies, and sponsors.
• Represent SCF at networking events, meetings, and activations.
• Champion a team culture that's driven, values-led, and ready to make waves.
7. Pitch In Where Needed
• Support Board meetings and partner updates.
• Share campaign milestones and KPI reports.
• Jump into any additional tasks the GM throws your way (we keep things exciting around here).
What You Will Need to Succeed
Experience & Skills
• Some education in Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
• 3–5 years of sponsorship, fundraising, or marketing experience — extra points if you have led a rebranding campaign.
• Top-notch writing, planning, and budget management skills.
• Confident and clear communicator in English.
• You're passionate about sport, paddling, and bringing communities together.
• You're energised by purpose-driven work and love a good challenge.
• You work well with people and bring others along for the ride.
• You're adaptable, always learning, and always improving.
• You're committed to excellence — even if that means working a few weekends or evenings here and there (but it will be worth it, I promise)
About the Singapore Canoe Federation (SCF)
We've been paddling strong since 1971. As Singapore's national body for canoeing and paddling sports, SCF supports athletes, events, and programs across disciplines — from competitive racing to community paddling.
We're proudly affiliated with the Asian Canoe Confederation, International Canoe Federation and Singapore Olympic Council. As a non-profit, we rely on the heart and hustle of our team and volunteers, and we're mainly supported by Sport Singapore.
