Job Description & Requirements

An European bank is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their PMO team to lead PMO function. As a key member of , you will play a crucial role in supporting and improving project management practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain project governance processes, procedures, and frameworks to ensure alignment with strategic goals and adherence to standards.
  • Assist project managers in developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams to ensure effective project execution.
  • Oversee the project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and tracking.
  • Develop and promote standardized project management methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Conduct project assessments and evaluations to optimize resource utilization and maximize project outcomes.
  • Implement systems and processes to track project performance metrics and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
  • Identify and analyze project risks and issues, and develop appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor project management practices and propose enhancements based on industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with resource managers to optimize resource allocation and utilization across multiple projects.
  • Maintain project documentation and manage project management tools and software platforms.
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of the PMO budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (project management, business administration, etc.).
  • Min 10 years of experience with Proven experience in project management or PMO roles.
  • Must have experience working with large scale enterprise programme
  • MIn 5 years of experience working in banking industry preferably on the business side
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies including Agile and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
