Role Summary:

You are responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) hardware to improve product quality and drive yield improvements at VSMC, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AMHS equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
  • Manage the installation and coordination of Overhead Hoist Transfer (OHT), Overhead Hoist Buffer (OHB), Stocker, Embedded sorter and Bare wafer stocker(BWS) systems.
  • Develop and document SOPs (standard operating procedures) for AMHS operations, ensuring consistent and efficient processes.
  • Coordinate equipment and material evaluations/optimizations to implement process improvements, leading yield enhancement and cost optimization efforts.
  • Qualify new equipment and manage, audit, and collaborate with equipment suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk mitigation goals.

Education Qualification & Essential Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with PM (preventive maintenance) processes for AMHS devices such as OHT (Overhead Hoist Transfers), OHB (Overhead Hoist Buffers), and Stockers.
  • Experience with automation machines from Daifuku and Muratec.

  • May need to travel to Taiwan for a training period lasting 6 to 9 months.

  • Strong team player with the ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
