Roles & Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities:


1.Commissioning Oversight:

oLead commissioning activities for the FPSO project, ensuring systems are integrated and tested as per the engineering design.

oSupervise the execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning work.

oMonitor and ensure that all equipment is installed, tested, and operated in compliance with project specifications.

2.Team Management:

oCoordinate and support multidisciplinary commissioning teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control).

oProvide technical guidance and ensure the team adheres to safe working practices and project schedules.

oTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase.

3.Documentation & Reporting:

oEnsure proper commissioning documentation is created and maintained, including punch lists, test reports, and completion certificates.

oRegularly report progress to the Commissioning Manager and other project stakeholders.

oProvide feedback on any delays or issues affecting the commissioning timeline.

4.System Testing & Optimization:

oConduct or supervise system tests for operational performance.

oValidate and verify the correct functioning of equipment, instruments, and control systems.

oEnsure compliance with regulatory and safety standards during the commissioning process.

5.Quality & Safety:

oEnforce strict adherence to safety and quality standards during the commissioning phase.

oIdentify potential hazards and mitigate risks to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

oReport any non-compliance with specifications and recommend corrective actions.

6.Collaboration & Communication:

oWork closely with the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) teams to ensure smooth transitions between design, construction, and commissioning phases.

oCommunicate effectively with client representatives and stakeholders regarding commissioning schedules, milestones, and issues.


Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field).

•Minimum of 10 years of experience in FPSO commissioning, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

•Strong knowledge of FPSO systems, including oil and gas production, processing, and utilities.

•Experience in the commissioning of offshore platforms or similar large-scale projects is highly preferred.

•Familiarity with international and local safety regulations, standards, and industry practices.

•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.

•Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
