Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description (but not limited to)：

  • Perform activities mainly relevant to classification，certification and statutory surveys and inspections of ships-in-service in accordance with IMO, IACS, Flag authorities and Classification regulation and rules
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and ensure all survey / inspection reports (including survey certificates) are factual, objective and submitted within the stipulated format and timeframe
  • Deal with general technical issues in the inspection service, implement the drawing review comments
  • Participate in the preparation of classification certificates, statutory certificates, inspection reports and other technical documents
  • Keep up to date with new rules, regulations and technical information or process disseminated through internal communication.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers

Job Requirements：

  • Singapore Citizen or PR
  • Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture / Mechanical Engineering or other related disciplines
  • At least 5 years' professional experience in ship’s survey, or technical work experience in a related technical field
  • Familiar with the theoretical knowledge, as well as the requirements of Classification Rules, Flag Authorities Regulations and International Conventions
  • Proficiency in oral and written English for technical communication, fluent in Chinese is an advantage
  • Experience in other classification societies would be preferred
  • Honest and trustworthy, conscientious and responsible, good at communication, meticulous and patient
