Responsibilities
  • Provideclinical care for patients with lower limb conditions of low tomoderate complexities
  • Independently assess andinterpret findings to form a defined and clear diagnosis, formulatetreatment plans with appropriate clinical reasoning, and providetreatment
  • Make appropriate discharge plans andreferral to other healthcare professionals whereappropriate
  • Explain treatment plan andexpected outcomes to patient and caregiver
  • Useappropriate outcome measures and modifies treatment asrequired
  • Completes all clinical documentationpromptly and in accordance with department'sstandards

Requirements
  • Possess a valid BCLS certificate,and all other relevant qualifications to carry out services as aPodiatrist
  • Degree in podiatry from aninstitution recognised by Ministry of Health (Singapore)
  • Preferably a member of the Podiatry Association ofSingapore
  • At least 2 years of workingexperience as Podiatrist
  • Skilled in areas suchas:
    • Nail Trimming
    • Conservative management of ingrown toe nail
    • Callus Debridement
    • CornEnucleation
    • Wound management (including sharpwound debridement technique and offloading),
    • Biomechanical Assessment
    • Takingimpressions of feet (plaster of paris, foam box casting)
    • Prescription and fitting of prefabricated and customisedfoot orthotics (including trouble shooting)
  • Good communication and interpersonalskills
