About the Role

As a result of continued growth, Anergy has an opening for Commissioning & Service Engineer. This is a newly created position and will form an important part of the Anergy Project and Services Team. This position reports to the COO. As the Commissioning and Service Engineer, you will coordinate and lead the delivery of all equipment to site, all on-site activities for installation, testing and final certification of acceptance of projects. You will also be involved with after sales services support particularly in equipment spare parts. The role will require close interface with local representatives of the client as well as working closely with members of the organization's project management, engineering and manufacturing teams. The position requires good engineering knowledge (mechanical and electrical fields). It will also demand good leadership, resource planning and people engagement skills. The position will require a reasonable amount of international travel including stationing on site during project commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

On-Site Management

  • Participate in factory equipment FAT and supervise the delivery of equipment to project site
  • Serve as the primary contact on project site between the field team, office and the client
  • Liaise and align with clients regarding preparation for site works and activities
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of equipment at client sites, ensuring they meet design specifications and project requirements.
  • Plan, communicate, manage and deliver site installation & commissioning activities as per the project methodology and according to plan and schedule
  • Engaged in the installation, testing of equipment to ensure all components are functioning properly
  • Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to resolve any issues encountered during the installation or commissioning phases.
  • Establish tight controls of company resource/ assets at site and ensure all engineers / contractors are utilized productively at all times
  • Monitor and report progress against plan to management, highlighting any delays and mitigate and manage change in the project delivery.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on project site and conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure safe working conditions for all workers
  • Address and report safety hazards immediately to ensure corrective actions are taken

Equipments Spares & Services (Newly Created)

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients on their spare parts need
  • Handle clients inquiries, process orders, and address complaints or concerns on spare parts in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions with clients and spare parts inventory.
  • Monitor stock levels of spare parts, ensuring that popular items are readily available and that inventory is replenished as needed.
  • Work with inventory and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of spare parts to clients.

Communication & Liaison:

  • Participate in project planning and scheduling to ensure timely project completion
  • Work closely with project team on commercial and contractual aspects of projects
  • Support ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned

Profile we are looking for

  • Degree or higher Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, electrical, site management advantageous
  • Experience in process plant structural, mechanical and piping design desirable
  • Exposure to thermal and materials handling equipment such as kilns, heaters and screw conveyors desirable
  • Good leadership and able to interact at all levels of the organization internally and externally
  • Self-driven, organized and able to deal with ambiguity and unstructured setting
  • High integrity and ethics and an open and collaborative work attitude
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
