Job Overview:

We are looking for experienced addiction counsellors to provide individual counselling for clients struggling with substance and behavioral addictions. Sessions may be conducted via house visits, face-to-face at an office space, or online, depending on client needs.

As a Freelance Addiction Counsellor, you will use evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based Interventions to guide clients toward recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct one-on-one addiction counselling sessions (house visits, face-to-face, and online).

Assess clients' needs and develop personalized recovery plans.

Help clients identify triggers, manage cravings, and prevent relapse.

Provide psychoeducation on addiction, coping strategies, and harm reduction techniques.

Maintain confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional case documentation.

Collaborate with families, peer support groups, and other professionals to enhance recovery outcomes.

Salary:

Online Session: SGD $60 – $80 per hour

Face-to-Face Session: SGD $80 – $100 per hour

House Visit Session: SGD $120 – $150 per hour

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Addiction Studies, or a related field.

experience in addiction counselling or mental health support.

Certifications & Skills:

Training or certification in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or other addiction treatment modalities (preferred).

Strong understanding of addiction recovery models, relapse prevention, and harm reduction strategies.

Ability to conduct independent counselling sessions in various settings.

Excellent communication, active listening, and client engagement skills.

Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental manner.
