Site Civil Engineer

Main Contractor, civil works

6 days work week

Primary Roles

Ensuring that construction projects are completed safety, on time, and within budget.

Responsible for advanced Planning, designing, integrating, installation, rigging and lifting equipment, including management of contractors and vendors

Responsible for supervising and assessing the set-up of all project components, manage all aspects of an engineering project, prepare schedules, communicate with clients, project progress.

Resources planning, schedule, order and coordination with HQ and site team, including managing sub-contractors.

Key Activities

  1. Coordinate with project team i.e. architects, surveyors, construction manager, safety, and subcontractors to ensure that all project are integrated and executed efficiently
  2. Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is progressing according to the plan and schedule
  3. Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
  4. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and adherence to safety regulations.
  5. Oversee and regularly review engineering processes and resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
  6. Work independently and to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement new processes and technology, to offer innovative solutions to customers
  7. Design, communicate and implement an operational plan, Create and maintain cost estimates for projects and programs
  8. Identify, develop, and gather the resources necessary to complete the project. This may include preparing engineering standards, designs, and work specifications
  9. Developing project schedules, budget, and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, and external contractors
  10. Liaise with other operational areas in the organization (engineering, design, drafting, technical) to secure specialize resources and contributions for the project
  11. Set priorities, allocate tasks, and to meet projects targets and milestones, ensure smooth authority submission.
  12. Solve technical issue such as drawing discrepancy, site condition changes, verify plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy, raise RFI when necessary;
  13. Ensure accuracy of setting out, levelling and site surveying and all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
  14. Support Project manager to liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
  15. 15. Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
  16. Overseeing quality control and assist safety department to achieve health and safety target on site;
  17. Preparing method statement, daily weekly and monthly report;
  18. Ensuring all site inspection and record as per client/developer requirement
  19. Ensuring all testing and quantity inspection are carried out as per contract requirement.
  20. Maintain accurate and detailed records of site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
  21. Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date, properly filed, and accessible for reference and auditing purposes.
  22. Monitor and control resource usage to prevent wastage and optimize efficiency.

Requirement:

1, Degree in Civil Engineering

2. Minimum 2 years site coordination civil work experiences

3. Ability to manage and supervisor site arrangement, dispute, work progress and safety

4. Prebarrable with RTO cert
