Roles & Responsibilities

Singapore Aquaculture Technologies (SAT) Pte Ltd operates floating fish farms in coastal waters off Paisr RIs Park. Our employees depart from Lorong Halus Jetty for work by boat.


For our Hatchery and Nursery-team, we are looking for a Hatchery Specialist with some previous exposure to Recirculating Aquaculture Systems, Asian sea bass (Lates calcarifer) and dealing with juvenile fish (1 dph to post vaccination).


Job Description:

.. Follow and improve Standard Operation Protocol for livefeed culture (rotifer, artemia) and vaccination.


.. Candidate will be a very important team-member of the department and execute various daily tasks with regard to rearing fish which are all focused on growth and development of the larvae.


.. Candidate will be required to support hatchery operations (e.g. live feed culture, larvae rearing) and in nursery operations (e.g. grading, vaccination, fish transfer).


.. Daliy operation includes feeding, tank cleaning, fish sampling for health and growth, water quality monitoring, aquaculture system maintenance and facilities upkeep.


.. Routine reporting on inventory (Livestock, feed, vaccines...) monthly and on husbandry activities on daily basis.


Requirements:


.. Possess qualification like Diploma in Aquaculture, Marine Science, Environmental Science or any related subject or equivalent.


.. Have an eye for detail and for hygiene and an interest in fish husbandry.


.. Able to take initiative and to work independently.


.. Willing to work 5 days with shift rotation.
