Job purpose


As the Product Manager, Access Control and Monitoring Solutions at Igloo, you will be a key player in strategizing and developing our access control and monitoring solutions for our Smart Access Management platform. Your role will involve leveraging your relevant experience in AI and monitoring capabilities to build up our capabilities to deliver delightful experiences and advance towards our vision of a world without keys.


Duties and responsibilities

Strategic Vision and Product Roadmap:

  • Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for access control and monitoring solutions within the context of Smart Access Management
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap for access control and monitoring solutions, aligned with igloo's overall business objectives and customer needs
  • Familiarity with AI, data analytics, and monitoring technologies

Collaborative Development:

  • Work closely with software development teams, ensuring the accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery of products
  • Own and manage the product backlog, writing user stories, mitigating risks, and effectively prioritising tasks to unblock the team

Market Synthesis and Alignment:

  • Synthesise market needs into clear product requirements, focusing on optimising partnerships, onboarding processes, and end-user experiences
  • Lead workshops and cross-functional exercises to explore new product opportunities and align strategies with organisational goals
  • Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback, validate product ideas, and drive product enhancements

Product Launch and Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Lead product launches for new features and products, working closely with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure successful rollout and adoption
  • Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and sales enablement materials to support product launches and drive revenue growth

Quality Assurance and Performance Monitoring:

  • Assist with product testing and provide training to internal and external stakeholders, addressing challenges on the user end
  • Monitor software performance, collaborating with vendors to enhance the user experience while resolving technical issues

Scale and Predictability:

  • Introduce processes that enable and support scalability, driving greater predictability in product delivery for monitoring solutions

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other functions to develop and drive product strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
  • Partner across the organisation to support and engage with key stakeholders vital to successful and timely launch of monitoring and access control products within igloo

Communication and Leadership:

  • Articulate a compelling product vision, emphasising the value for monitoring solutions coupled with smart locks, and superior end-user experiences
  • Enable customer-facing teams with product knowledge and direction, engaging with customers to provide thought leadership in support of further product development, customer success, and business development activities
  • This role requires a dynamic individual who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, fostering collaboration across teams, and ensuring the seamless integration of our monitoring solutions within our ecosystem products. Requirements/Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Deep technical acumen and demonstrated ability partnering with Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success defining, launching, and maintaining excellent launching products at scale, and across regions.
  • Basic knowledge of software development platforms, databases, infrastructure and Cloud environment.

Soft Skills

  • Strong interpersonal team skills, fluent communicator, collaborative mindset and team player attitude.
  • Work well under pressure and be able to prioritise to meet deadlines and quickly shift priorities as necessary. Ability to multitask, work independently and demonstrate keen attention to details.
  • Excellent analytical skills, confident to present a point of view and reason well with Business & Engineering stakeholders.

Experiences

  • 5+ years of product management experience in relevant Software development, IoT platforms or AI, Data Analytics, Monitoring related domains.
  • Writing detailed stories, managing and prioritising backlog health, and delivering with cross functional teams
  • Working in an Agile development environment and across global markets, such as the North America or European market
  • Access control, security or monitoring technologies a bonus but not required
