Roles & Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager for Mooring Services, you'll be working closely with the Regional Business Development Manager for APAC. Your role will focus on growing the business, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the client stays ahead in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Keep an eye on new projects, such as floating production units and field conversions in the APAC region, and identify emerging opportunities for mooring solutions.
  2. Foster long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring regular communication, excellent service, and maximizing business opportunities.
  3. Work with internal teams to prepare tailored, competitive proposals that meet client needs.
  4. Drive new business and ensure we meet our revenue goals by executing the right strategies. Collaborate with regional managers to align on goals and share market insights.
  5. Represent the client at industry events and build a solid network in the APAC region.
  6. Keep detailed records of business activities, client interactions, and sales pipelines, while providing regular updates to management on progress and challenges.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in business management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years in business development or sales within the offshore oil, gas, or marine industries, with 8 years in the SEA region being a plus.
  • Experience with floating production, marine & subsea construction, and offshore drilling, especially in the APAC region, will be key to your success.
  • Strong experience in tendering, managing sales pipelines, and using CRM systems. You should also be great at market research and crafting compelling proposals.
  • You'll need to be a great communicator, negotiator, and relationship-builder. Being able to work well within a team and independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Other Details:

  • This role involves frequent travel to client locations and industry events across the APAC region and beyond.
  • You'll be working with diverse cultures and managing relationships with international clients, so an open, adaptable attitude is important.
