Job Title: Creative and Therapeutic Instructors (Art, Dance, Drama, Speech, and Gardening Therapy)

Location: Gallop Cares – Special Needs Enrichment Center

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and experienced professionals in Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, Drama Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Gardening Therapy to join our team at Gallop Cares. The ideal candidates will have experience working with special needs children and a strong understanding of therapeutic techniques that foster emotional, cognitive, and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement engaging therapy sessions tailored to the needs of special needs children.
  • Adapt activities to accommodate various abilities and learning styles.
  • Use creative and therapeutic approaches to enhance communication, self-expression, motor skills, and social interaction.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and educators to provide a holistic approach to child development.
  • Monitor and document each child's progress, providing feedback to parents and caregivers.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Maintain therapy materials and resources needed for sessions.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Certification in relevant field (Art Therapy, Dance Therapy, Drama Therapy, Speech Therapy, Horticulture Therapy, Special Education, Psychology, or related disciplines).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with children with special needs.
  • Strong understanding of different therapeutic techniques and their application in a special needs setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with play-based or sensory therapy approaches.
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Training in adaptive techniques for non-verbal or low-mobility children.
