Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating nursing staff. They ensure staff performance meets the healthcare facility's standards.
- Patient Care Oversight: Ensure that high-quality patient care is delivered, including managing patient care protocols, safety, and satisfaction.
- Budget and Resource Management: Monitor and manage the department's budget, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with doctors, other healthcare professionals, and department heads to coordinate patient care.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that the unit complies with all health and safety regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
- Problem-Solving: Address conflicts or issues within the unit, both with staff and patients, and develop strategies to resolve them.
- Professional Development: Provide mentorship and continuing education opportunities for nursing staff.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions and solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of healthcare laws, patient care protocols, and safety regulations.
