Functional Tester

Job Scope:
- Understand and analyze software requirements and technical specifications.
- Understand functional requirements to prepare the test data to simulate realistic scenarios of the functional test cases.
- Involve in system integration tests and support users during user acceptance tests to execute the test cases and simulate realistic journey of user case specification.
- Perform end-to-end testing from a user perspective, validating the software application’s usability, performance, and functionality utilizing Tosca test automation, SoapUI, Postman, Azure DevOps, JIRA.
- Report, document, and track any issues or defects found during user acceptance testing (UAT) and work with developers to resolve them.
- Facilitate UAT sessions with end-users, ensuring that feedback is gathered, and issues are addressed.
- Ensure that the test results meet predefined acceptance criteria.
- Document UAT outcomes, including test results, feedback from end-users and recommended improvements.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery of the project.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of functional testing experience.
- Demonstrated experience in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, end-to-end testing including test data preparation, and issue tracking/reporting.
- Experience in software requirement analysis and have proven documentation skills.
- Experience in test automation tools e.g. Tosca.
- Skills in API testing tools e.g. Postman, SoapUI.
- Familiar with project management tools e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps.
- Preferably holds ISTQB Certification or Test Automation Certification e.g. Tosca Certified, or Agile/Scrum Certification.
- Background in IT / software inudstry is highly advantageous.
