SPED TEACHER (PERMANENT, PART-TIME)

We have a vacancy for a part-time Special Education Teacher to plan, prepare and implement teaching plans for children with moderate to severe special needs.

Requirements

  • Singaporeans can only be considered for this Part-Time job.
  • Minimum 3 years experience teaching children
  • Diploma/Degree in Special Education or equivalent
  • Must have at least 5 ‘O’ level credits, with at least a B grade in English
  • Experience writing Individual Education Plans (IEP)
  • Advantage if experienced using a curriculum
  • Dedicated, patient and understanding when working with children with special needs

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IEPs for each pupil and track progress accordingly
  • To plan and teach meaningful lessons
  • Prepare and use a varied choice of appropriate teaching and instructional aids to cater to the different levels of learning abilities 
  • Use assessment tools to gauge ability levels
  • Manage behaviour
  • Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Employment Type
Part-time (Mornings 9am-1:30pm); Monday to Friday – Fixed hours

Perks: Follow the MOE term breaks

Salary Range: Part-time, $1300 - $1800 monthly rated. Note, salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
