Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to manage and support system administration, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, security, and automation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Azure, Windows and Linux administration, containerization, and scripting, along with strong troubleshooting skills. This role involves Day1 cloud implementations, Day2 operations, and ensuring the reliability and security of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Administration:
    • Windows: PowerShell scripting, system hardening, patching, and maintenance.
    • Linux (SuSE & Red Hat): Shell scripting, system hardening, patching, and optimization.
  2. Cloud & Virtualization:
    • Assist in Day1 cloud implementations and manage Day2 operations for Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
    • Support multi-cloud environments, including AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • VMware: Resource provisioning, security hardening, and patch management.
  3. Security & Compliance:
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security remediation measures.
    • Manage patching processes and ensure compliance with security standards.
  4. Infrastructure & Networking:
    • Basic understanding of storage technologies and Storage Area Networks (SAN).
    • Troubleshoot infrastructure components, including servers and networks.
  5. Containers & Automation:
    • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
    • Support the development and maintenance of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
  6. Software & Database Management:
    • Knowledge of server antivirus software and patch management solutions.
    • Basic experience with databases such as MS SQL, DB2, and others.
    • Experience with third-party cloud integrations and troubleshooting cloud-based applications.
  7. Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Monitor, optimize, and ensure high availability of cloud and system infrastructure.
    • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in cloud computing, system administration, virtualization, or IT infrastructure.
  • Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect are a plus).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET technologies, microservices, and cloud architectures.
    • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Terraform) for cloud automation.
    • Experience deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud environments.
    • Strong understanding of networking, security best practices, and hybrid cloud environments.
    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work across multiple domain teams and troubleshoot cloud-based applications.
    • A team player with a customer-focused mindset.
    • Must be flexible to work beyond business hours, including weekends, when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
