About Us: Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA) is a rapidly growing nonprofit organisation dedicated to serving the underprivilege community in Singapore. Established with the aim of providing financial assistance and support to Muslims in need, MTFA focuses on various areas such as education, healthcare, welfare, and social services. As our organisation continues to expand, we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and score a range of psychological assessments tailored to the needs of residents.
- Interpret assessment results to inform the development of individualized care plans (ICPs).
- Develop and implement tailored psychological interventions to support the mental health and overall well-being of residents.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate interventions into residents’ ICPs.
- Plan and facilitate group work sessions aimed at enhancing social skills, emotional regulation, and coping mechanisms for residents.
- Engage with families of residents to provide psychoeducation and support, enhancing the effectiveness of interventions.
- Provide coaching in various settings to ensure the generalization of positive behaviors and strategies learned in individual sessions.
- Participate in data collection, analysis, and research to contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of programs.
- Collaborate with other professionals to design and implement research projects aimed at understanding and improving resident outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree in Psychology or higher, with a strong foundation in psychological assessment, intervention, and research.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the social service sector, with a focus on children and youth.
- Full membership with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) would be advantageous.
- Deep understanding of established psychological theories and current research on child and youth mental health and development.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Familiarity with various psychotherapy or counselling modalities would be Positive attitude with the ability to think creatively and adapt to unforeseen challenges.
- Proven ability to manage stress and handle crises effectively, making calm and informed decisions under pressure.
