As a Calibration Engineer, you will be in-charge of supporting and driving all calibration activities are carried out in a timely manner and project. Working closely with maintenance, production department and other internal stakeholders to ensure any related issues to calibration are resolved in a timely manner.


In this role, a typical day will include:

  • To provide support for day to day calibration planning and activities.
  • To drive cost saving initiatives/projects (CIP) for calibration department to ensure the department spend within the yearly and monthly budget.
  • To ensure calibration system and activities are in compliance to ISO, GMP/GDP, FDA, MDSAP and HSE regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, validate and implement new in-house calibration methods.
  • Maintain in-house calibration reference standards and perform in-house calibration activities.
  • Conduct investigation for Non-conformance (NCR).
  • No overdue calibration activities.
  • No manufacturing equipment downtime incurred due to calibration activities.
  • Timely completion of projects and assigned tasks based on planned timelines.
  • Accurate department spending based on forecast (Yearly and Monthly).

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Minimum Degree in Engineering field
  • 2-3 years of related experience in calibration of equipment/ instrument used in manufacturing
  • Experience working in GMP setting will be advantageous
  • Comfortable to be based at Tuas (Transport from Boon Lay / Outram Park/ Kranji MRT)
