Roles & Responsibilities

On behalf of our client we are looking for Software tester (Automation) to work on one on on basis on various tasks.


Responsibilities:

  1. Understand the requirements from multiple internal and external stakeholders’ groups and work with the development team throughout development to define and improve the build system quality.
  2. Review stories or requirement specs to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous and verifiable. i.e. verify that definition of done is able to meet of every released feature.
  3. Discuss, analyse and recommend design improvements or corrections to developers throughout the development process.
  4. Collaborate closely with stakeholders and project team to identify needs and requirements for estimation of testing scope and time frame
  5. Develop and establish quality assurance deliverables and testing framework, including create and maintain test plans and test cases in accordance with changing requirements, throughout development
  6. Create and manage automated test framework whenever possible such as prepare test environment, maintain functional testing script in accordance with changing requirements
  7. Conduct system integration tests with external parties, validate the output and expected outcome e.g. data to and from external parties’ systems and feedback on improvement requirement
  8. Conduct extensive manual functional /exploratory testing, including browser testing
  9. Conduct performance and load tests, validate the output and expected outcomes and feedback on improvement required
  10. Conduct application performance and security testing to ensure we have a robust and secured system in place
  11. Conduct impact analysis of defect fixes discovered during manual or automated tests, validate completed stories pass the acceptance criteria, raising defects as needed and work with development team to improve the expected behaviour and test cases;
  12. Demonstrate the tested stories during Sprint Review and prepare production show case to show the completed stories tested.


Skills Set And Track Record:

  1. Tertiary Education in relevant fields is preferred
  2. Relevant software development certifications, e.g. Microsoft Certified Solution Developer for Dynamics or equivalent
  3. Certified Software Testing Professional and/or Certified Software Quality Analyst or an equivalent certification will be an added advantage
  4. Good understanding and completion of projects using waterfall/Agile methodology
  5. Demonstrable skills in Java, Dot Net, Python, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Mobile, Cloud or SSIS development
  6. Demonstrate knowledge of automated software testing methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, test driven development (TDD) and behaviour driven development (BDD).
  7. Demonstrate knowledge of creating packaging / build scripts with MSBuild, Maven, Docker etc.
  8. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resource to application stack traces
  9. Track record in implementing systems with high availability, high performance, high security hosted at various data centres or hybrid cloud environments will be an added advantage.
