The Division ofPhysics and Applied Physics (PAP) at School of Physical andMathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University Singaporeinvites applications for position at the rank of Visiting Professorin Physics. We are looking for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree inphysics or a closely related area.

The VisitingProfessor will collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the areaof nanophotonics, especially in Deeply SubwavelengthSuperoscillatory Imaging (DSSI), including the fabrication andcharacterization of nanometer sized feathers, generatingdiffraction images. Using both experimental results and simulatedimages as training data, obtain optical images with picometerresolution via deep learning. He/she will get involved withcollaborated research in the programme level (NRF-CRP) with PAPcolleagues, as well as explore collaborations with colleagues fromother Schools within NTU.

The candidate shouldhave at least 15 years of experience in cutting edgenano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imagingtechnologies, as well as expertise in AI and deep learning . He/sheshould be also able to fabricate photonic devices usingelectron-beam lithography and focus ion beam. He/she should havedemonstrated an ability to obtain external grants, plus regularlypublish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science familyof journals.
