Roles & Responsibilities

The CCO will lead the commercial functions within the organization, ensuring a cohesive strategy for customer acquisition, retention, and overall business revenue growth. The CCO will work closely with the CEO, other senior executives, and department leaders to define and implement business strategies that align with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development & Execution:
    • Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy to drive company growth and profitability.
    • Align sales, marketing, and product development strategies to business goals.
    • Oversee market research and competitor analysis to adapt strategies accordingly.
  2. Sales Leadership:
    • Lead the sales team in executing strategies to increase revenue and market share.
    • Identify new business opportunities and channels for growth.
    • Set sales targets, track performance, and ensure the team achieves goals.
  3. Marketing Management:
    • Lead the marketing efforts to build brand awareness, drive leads, and support sales.
    • Ensure the marketing strategy is in line with customer needs, trends, and company goals.
    • Manage marketing budget and ROI metrics.
  4. Customer Experience & Relationship Management:
    • Oversee customer service teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
    • Use customer feedback and data to improve product offerings and customer service.
  5. Collaboration with Senior Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, CTO, and other senior executives to ensure business growth and profitability.
    • Provide regular reports on commercial performance and make strategic recommendations.
  6. Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage commercial budgets.
    • Monitor and report on sales forecasts, revenue generation, and market conditions.
  7. Product Development & Innovation:
    • Work closely with product teams to ensure that products meet market demand.
    • Advocate for product innovations that align with market needs and commercial goals.
  8. Leadership & Team Development:
    • Build and mentor a high-performing commercial team.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.


Requirements:

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in commercial leadership roles (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product Management).
  • Proven track record of success in a commercial leadership role, ideally as a CCO, VP of Sales, or VP of Marketing.
  • Experience in managing and scaling commercial operations in a fast-growing company or competitive industry.

    • Ability to analyze complex data and market trends to make informed decisions.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities with a results-driven approach.
  5. Communication Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with senior leadership, clients, and teams.
    • Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Customer-Centric Mindset:
    • Focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and improving customer satisfaction.
    • Experience in building and nurturing customer relationships.
  7. Adaptability & Innovation:
    • Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovation in the commercial function.
    • Open to change and able to pivot strategies quickly when necessary.

Other Requirements:

  • Strongexperience working in a leadership capacity in a B2B or B2C environment,depending on the company's model.
  • Ability to travel as needed for meetings with clients, partners, or other business requirements.
